India National Cricket Team head coach Rahul Dravid talked about the news of the star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja getting ruled out of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 and said that the team management doesn’t want to “jump to any conclusions and rule him out or rule him in”.
On Saturday, September 3, news agency PTI reported that Jadeja’s knee injury, which has ruled him out of the Asia Cup 2022, is all set to rule him out of the forthcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, which is set to be held in Australia in October-November.

PTI quoted a source in the BCCI as saying that the star all-rounder’s injury is “pretty serious” and he will have to undergo a major knee surgery, which will keep him “out of action for indefinite period of time”.

At a pre-match press conference ahead of the India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 stage clash, Dravid spoke about Jadeja’s current situation.
“Jadeja, he has injured his knee. Obviously he is ruled out for the Asia Cup. He’s under the care of the medical team, he has gone to see the doctors, he has gone to see the experts,” Dravid said.
“The World Cup is a fair way away, so we don’t want to jump to any conclusions and rule him out or rule him in. We’ll see how it goes,” he added.

Rahul Dravid further stated that he doesn’t have a clear idea about the severity of Jadeja’s injury and he doesn’t want to “rule him out or make too many comments”.
“A lot will depend on the rehab and the severity of the injury. We’ll see how it goes. I don’t want to rule him out or make too many comments until we have a much clearer picture and we have a better idea. Specially the World Cup is 6-7 weeks away now,” the India head coach concluded.
