Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli were the toast of the Indian innings as they helped the Men in Blue finish on a high against Hong Kong in their second match of the Asia Cup 2022 which was played at the Dubai International cricket stadium in Dubai on August 31, 2022.
Hong Kong captain Nizakat Khan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Rohit Sharma revealed that Rishabh Pant came in to replace Hardik Pandya who was rested for this game. Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul struggled initially to gauge the nature of the pitch and the start was a bit sketchy.
Rohit tried to pump the tempo in powerplay but perished for 21 runs in 13 balls. KL Rahul continued to bat but failed to find the rhythm for his entire stay in the middle. The same thing was with Virat Kohli who joined him, but he managed to hit the odd boundary, but both of them were reliant on singles and doubles in middle overs.

Suryakumar Yadav Hammers 4 Sixes In The Last Over To Finish On 68* In 26 Balls
Finally, KL Rahul fell for 36 runs in 39 balls to Mohammad Ghazanfar, and in walked Suryakumar Yadav. Yadav started to go after the bowling from the start and began hitting boundaries from the get-go.
Kohli continued to give strike to Suryakumar Yadav, who was stroking the ball to all parts of the ground. Suryakumar Yadav hammered 68* in just 26 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes to his name. 4 of those sixes came in the last over bowled by Haroon Rashid, who went for 53 runs in 3 overs.

Virat Kohli finished on 59* with 3 sixes and 1 four to his name, but it was Suryakumar Yadav, who walked away with the accolades as he helped India to 192/2 in 20 overs from 70/1 in 10 overs. Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli added 98* runs for the third wicket in almost no time.
The fans and cricket experts on Twitter were in awe of the way he batted and lauded his knock on the social media site.

Surya Yadav’s fantastic strike rate is linked directly to his equally fantastic creative strokeplay. On a pitch where Rohit and Rahul fell cheaply and Kohli made a somewhat laboured half century, SKY simply toyed with the bowling to take India into a commanding position
