Shardul Thakur is looking forward to coming up with a successful performance in ongoing India vs South Africa Test series. Shardul Thakur, who was impressed with his performances in his last two-Test series against England and Australia, seeks to contribute to the team in South Africa as well.
Shardul Thakur has made it to India’s Test squad in the previous few Test series with his incredible batting and bowling show. He was part of India’s historic 2-1 Test series victory against Australia early in January this year. Later, during the England tour, he slammed half-centuries while batting and picked crucial wickets during the tour.

While speaking to his teammate Ravichandran Ashwin in a video, Shardul Thakur said that he will be happy if he is able to contribute to the team in South Africa.
“I am looking forward to it. I hope it comes off in SA too as I have been successful in England and Australia, to contribute in South African conditions, I would be more than happy,” the right-arm pacer said.
The right-handed batsman also said that for him, it is everything about confidence and self-belief and he likes to plan his game in both batting and bowling.
“I do like to plan my game in terms of both bowling and batting. When I enter the ground, everything is about confidence and self-belief for me. If you are playing white ball cricket, you think of yorker. So to bowl that yorker, I go in with full confidence which stands out for me as a player,” he further said.

Shardul Thakur is also part of the ongoing IND vs SA 1st Test. He has been picked over pacers like Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma. In the match, India have reached 372-3 on the scoreboard after the end of two days.
Day 2 of the match was completely washed out due to rain. On the first day, KL Rahul slammed a marvellous 122-run unbeaten knock to take India to a good total. Lungi Ngidi picked three wickets on day 1 and was the only bowler to get success.
