England top-order batter Jason Roy became a father to a baby boy with wife Elle Moore on Wednesday, January 5. On Saturday, January 8, the right-hander put forth the development on a number of his social media platforms, including Instagram and Twitter.
The 31-year-old Roy posted a picture where he was carrying his child in a carrier with his wife striking a pose beside them. It was pretty evident that Roy’s joy knew no bounds after he became a father. The South Africa-born also had words of praises for his better-half.
Roy captioned the picture and wrote, “ Born 05.01.2022. Welcome to the family little man. Eloise, you are an incredible person. So proud and so grateful,”
After he shared the news on social media, a number of his national teammates showered wishes on him. The likes of Tom Moody, Ben Dunk, Tom Banton and many others poured love on Roy following the delightful piece of news.

Back on October 7, 2017, Roy tied the knots with his then long-term girlfriend Elle. Back in 2019, the couple gave birth to their first girl child and named her Everly. In the same year, his daughter had to be admitted to the hospital after she fell ill. Roy was scheduled to lock horns with Pakistan in an ODI and on the night before, he got only a couple of hours’ rest due to spending time in the hospital.
Roy went on to score his eighth ODI ton, amassing 114 runs and guided the Three Lions to their fourth highest successful ODI run-chase in Nottingham. Roy’s daughter, who was only seven weeks old, was out of danger, but Roy returned to the hospital to be with her.
“I had a bit of a rough morning, so this one is a special one for me and my family. It was my little one. We had to take her to hospital at 1.30 in the morning,” Roy was quoted as saying.
“I stayed there until 8.30 and came back for a couple of hours sleep. I got to the ground just before warm-up and cracked on. It was a very emotional hundred,” he added.
